Students with less than one year work experience in a paraprofessional, professional, technical, or supervisory position that involves relevant service to the profession and/or public service are required to complete PA 6694 Internship, for an additional three credit hours to the 36-hour program. The Internship cannot be used to satisfy an elective or core course requirement.

Candidates for admission must have a baccalaureate degree in any subject area from a regionally accredited college or university.

A letter of recommendation that addresses the applicant’s potential for success in professional graduate studies and public service;

Each term is eight weeks long and there are six terms per academic year.

Provide verification of high school graduation or verification of GED completion. Take Everglades University’s entrance examination or provide results of a Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) or American College Testing exam (ACT). Home school applicants Applicants must hold a High School Diploma or GED equivalency.

International student applicants must show successful completion of a secondary school program equivalent to high school in the United States. TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) score of 500 or higher on the paper TOEFL; or 173 or higher on the computer TOEFL if a student’s primary language is not English. And provide Certification of financial ability to meet tuition and other necessary expenses or ability to qualify for financial aid as an eligible non-citizen.

A practicum experience requires students to work a range of 200-400 hours under the supervision of an experienced site administrator and under the guidance of the student’s department, the Office of Applied Health, and Career Services.
